Daniel Cole is a skilled attorney who primarily represents plaintiffs in employment law and business litigation. With a diverse background that includes clerking for federal and state court judges, representing individuals, defending small to medium sized businesses, and representing large national corporate entities in matters, Daniel is able to provide unique insight and advocacy on behalf of his clients.
In his employment practice, Daniel routinely litigates matters involving wage and overtime issues, unlawful discrimination, retaliatory discharge, whistleblower retaliation, and restrictive covenants, including non-compete litigation. Daniel routinely represents management and executive-level employees in litigation and employment contract negotiations, including C-Suite executives, physicians, and upper management. Daniel's business litigation practice includes representing companies in matters involving breach of contract, business divorces, enforcement of operating or partnership agreements, trade secret theft, fraud, and other business torts. Daniel has successfully tried cases to verdict on behalf of his clients when necessary.
Daniel is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is actively involved in the legal and local community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Mentorship Academy for the Labor & Employment Section of the State Bar of Georgia and assisting with numerous local charities and non-profits.
Daniel is a proud double graduate of Mercer University, where he obtained a business degree and later attended the Walter F. George School of Law on a full scholarship, graduating cum laude with honors. He served as Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review and Student Editor of the Journal of Southern Legal History.
Outside of the practice of law, Daniel enjoys traveling with his wife, Autumn, dining at the many great restaurants Atlanta offers, is an avid golfer, and is always cheering on his favorite sports teams, including the Georgia Bulldogs, Braves, and Falcons.
